Imagine to eat in a museum – without having to be quiet! In the Mensurstube Heidelberg we serve typical German food, and regional traditional meals from our German kitchen
We have assembled over the years a unique little “Student Prince” museum – expect an authentic experience
Already Mark Twain sat at the old blue tiled stove, when visiting the Hirschgasse and also wrote about us in “A tramp abroad”. Lots of faded pictures of the student fraternities are hanging on the heavy wood panels and tell from old times. Sit at over 200 year old tables, in which even count von Bismarck no less has carved his name into. Scurrilous tankards, mugs or swords let you have an air of studentic traditions.
We are a 100% smoke-free restaurant.
